- Gavel Coffee Kitchen Craft Beers - Kuala Lumpur
Perfect cafe to spend the day. Gravel Coffee Kitchen Craft Beers #KualaLumpur We were very fortunate to be staying next door to Gavel on our trip to KL. Being from Melbourne, we were keen to find a cafe with great coffee and Gavel did not disappoint. We visited a couple of times during our stay, dined for breakfast and lunch and were very impressed with the food quality, and the coffee was also definitely up to our standards. The staff were charming and attentive, and nothing was too much. We spent the day working on our laptops, the wifi was reliable, and we never felt like we overstayed our welcome. Thank you for having us as a piece of the furniture, and we look forward to dropping in next time.

- Washhouse Dry Cleaning & Laundry Services - Kuala Lumpur
Washhouse Dry Cleaning & Laundry Services #KualaLumpur #Malaysia We were staying in KL for ten days and were not keen on paying hotel prices for laundry. We found Washhouse who were able to pick up and drop off our laundry from the hotel at a very reasonable price. They were straightforward to communicate with, as you can book online, and then they communicate via Whatsapp. Our clothes were returned within 48 hours (as we also had to dry clean) and very impressed with the quality — fantastic and secure service. Recommend Washhouse if you need fast and reliable quality service in KL.
- Mish Mash - Penang
Bespoke Cocktails Mish Mash #Penang #Malaysia This is the place for amazing cocktails. Mish Mash was a great find while we were travelling in Penang. We are from Melbourne, Australia, so privy to some outstanding cocktails and mixologists, and Mish Mash did not disappoint. We visited a couple of times as we loved their cocktails so much, the team was great and very friendly. The snack menu was also perfect. We also had a few drinks requests that were not on the list, and the team were very flexible and were familiar with all cocktails. It is located in a gorgeous street in George Town and great to wander around and see all the street artwork.
- Phuket Luxury Transfers - Phuket
Phuket Luxury Transfers #Phuket #Thailand I found Phuket Luxury Transfers via Google, as was being quoted expensive pricing from the hotel. It was such an easy and very efficient process to book the car of your choice and at a great price (credit card facility too). We opted for the Ford Explorer, which was plenty big enough for the 2 of us and our luggage — travelling in a 4WD as you see more. We were greeted at the airport and the car arrived shortly after, no waiting and free wifi/water and cold refreshing towels too! Booked them for my pickup also on the way to the hotel. You won't be disappointed.
- Park Hyatt - Siem Reap
Park Hyatt - Siem Reap - One Week If you're hunting for a place to kick back after a day of temple-hopping, let me tell you about our enchanting stay at the Park Hyatt Siem Reap. From the moment we walked in, it felt like we'd been transported into a realm where Khmer tradition meets art-deco elegance. The decor struck this perfect balance between luxe and local, making us feel like we were in the lap of luxury without losing that authentic Cambodian touch. But let's get to the real highlight – the cocktail bar. Guys, this wasn't just any bar; it was like stepping into an old Hollywood movie scene. Low lighting, plush seats, and an ambience that whispered, "You're in for a treat." And the cocktails? Divine doesn't even begin to cover it. Wayne, ever the adventurer when it comes to libations, went for their signature cocktail, and let's say there were zero regrets. Each sip was like a taste of exotic escapades, masterfully mixed and presented with flair. Speaking of flair, let's talk about the team at Park Hyatt. Every single person we interacted with was the epitome of hospitality. Warm, friendly, and with a knack for making you feel like the most critical traveller ever to grace their doorstep. It's not just a place to stay; it's a journey within your journey, offering a moment of calm and a taste of luxury in the heart of Siem Reap.
- A week in Siem Reap - Cambodia
In northwestern Cambodia, Siem Reap is renowned as the gateway to the mystical ruins of Angkor, the heart of the ancient Khmer kingdom from the 9th to the 15th centuries. This town is a fusion of historic grandeur and contemporary charm, offering visitors an experience that is both culturally rich and deeply relaxing. A week in Siem Reap is ideally begun with the exploration of the Angkor Archaeological Park. As you traverse the ancient stone corridors and witness the sunrise over the majestic temples, the omnipresent enigma of the past is undeniable. The park, peppered with over a thousand temples, is home to the great Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm—where nature and ruins entwine—and the many-faced Bayon Temple. Each ruin tells a tale of a civilization both advanced and mystic, urging a deeper comprehension of Cambodian culture. Siem Reap extends beyond historical landmarks, offering an opportunity to immerse oneself in contemporary Cambodian living. The local markets, such as Psar Chaa, are buzzing with life, where artisans’ crafts, textiles, and street food provide a sensory feast. We recommend that you support local businesses and contribute to the community by engaging with B1G1 Worthy Causes , a global initiative supporting sustainable, high-impact projects. Spending a week in Siem Reap is a journey through time where ancient and modern worlds collide. It's a city that captivates and enthrals, leaving visitors with a profound appreciation for its history, culture, and indomitable spirit.
- Nähatelier & Waschsalon Doli - Zermatt
Nähatelier & Waschsalon Doli We stayed in Zermatt after travelling for a few months and required laundry without paying hotel prices. We found this local laundry around the corner, and she was lovely. She took a whole bag of laundry, ready for the same day for pickup. We got charged for one bag of around 20 Francs for about 2 kilos, which was better than paying by piece at the hotel. We were delighted with the quality of our clean clothes and the service we received.
