Salon RAJA Great haircuts for both of us; unfortunately, we got overcharged by at least 1,000 dollars. Lesson learned to negotiate before the haircut; however, every other hairdresser has been fantastic and priced correctly in Morocco.

Océan Vagabond Restaurant We had drinks here once; lovely vibe and great views. It felt too much like a tourist trap, so we did not revisit it.

Cozy apartment in the old Medina - Three Nights Cosy and sunfilled apartment located in the heart of the Medina. Azeddine greets you personally and is very responsive and caring for all your needs. The home was perfect for a couple of days; it seemed to have everything we needed, but we dined out for all meals, so we didn't need to cook. African Roots Essaouira Nestled in the heart of Essaouira, the African Roots Cafe is a hidden gem embodying the town's spirit and culture. The decor is a vibrant mix of traditional African art and contemporary touches, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The aroma of freshly brewed Moroccan coffee and spices welcomes you. The menu features a delightful fusion of African and Moroccan flavours. I enjoyed a spiced coffee with a slice of sweet banana bread. The cafe attracts a diverse mix of travellers and locals, all enjoying the laid-back vibe. The friendly staff are eager to share their knowledge of the region's culture and history. Live music performances often fill the space, enhancing the cafe's unique ambience.

Riad Casa Blanca - Seven Nights A beautiful traditional riad in a perfect location, in the heart of the Medina. The hosts are always available, and the room is cleaned with new towels and sheets.  A gorgeous sunfilled roof terrace to relax with a good book during the afternoon. Caravane Cafe What a find, a fantastic hiding place away from the crowds. High-speed WIFI, wine, cocktails and delicious food, basically heaven. We ate or drank here 3 or 4 times during our visit.

D'Jazy It has a wonderful vibe. It is perfect for enjoying a great meal and cocktail while listening to live music or dancing the night away. It is a very comfortable restaurant/bar where you can sit back, chill out, and watch the village life pass you by; it is also the perfect spot for a sunset drink. Service is also impeccable, and the team is excellent, amicable, energetic and conversational.

La Coupole Essaouira beach - Multiple visits Great views and high-quality food. We loved La Coupole so much that we dined here four times in two weeks. The food was as high as the first time, and we even ordered the same dishes on most of our visits. While strolling along the beach, we stumbled across this beautiful spot and stopped for lunch. The lovely staff welcomed us and could take the front window table, with a view of the gorgeous ocean just for the two of us. We thoroughly enjoyed their wine collection (yes, we are Aussies!) and ordered the most delicious ravioli, followed by the perfect tomahawk steak to share! We were not disappointed. We even had a visit from Yassine, the chef, who we couldn't praise enough for cooking our meat perfectly. The day was so beautiful that we moved to the terrace to enjoy a few Negronis and the company of the locals who loved La Coupole as much as we did; we met them every visit. We even felt like locals. We got to know the lovely staff and are thankful for the warm welcome. You won't be disappointed in visiting La Coupole, from the great wine, warm service, good vibes, locals, and delicious food to one of the best views in Essaouira.
