Ella's Twins - Multiple Visits This little favourite coffee shop has kept us sane through the whole COVID-19 situation. The owner is so lovely, and we so enjoy our walks to this cute coffee shop and the bonus of visiting all the tiny stalls in the permanent local garden market.

90sqm - Terrace - Near Danube - AC + Netflix - Three Months Stunning home. We were blessed to have found Gerrit's property while staying in Vienna during the COVID-19 crisis. My husband and I have been on an endless travel journey and decided to wait it out in Vienna, and we chose Gerrit's place as it has a beautiful terrace, a fantastic view of a church and sunsets. It's also great for afternoon drinks in the sunshine. The apartment and terrace receive glorious sunshine daily; we love soaking it up. All the windows open up to provide lots of fresh air. We stayed for one month; it was the perfect layout to enjoy isolation at home. Beautiful furniture and decor, incredibly clean and spacious. It was also a bonus to have a mini stereo to Bluetooth your devices and listen to your favourite tunes all day. The kitchen was well stocked and equipped and had everything we needed to cook our three meals daily at home. A large fridge and supermarkets are a short walk with plenty of choices. The location is lovely, based across from the Danube River, which is ideal for relaxing strolls and views. Bedrooms are very spacious with very comfortable beds and linen. The bathroom is large, with a washing machine and separate dryer; there is also a large bathtub to remove your The building has a lift, and the apartment is on level 5, so needed when checking in for luggage and shopping. Gerrit is a wonderful host, very responsive, easy to communicate with, and perfect English. Nothing is too much to ask; he is a lovely host. We highly recommend this property, and you won't be disappointed.

Taste of India - One Visit The joy of being a traveller is finding a restaurant like Taste of India. I've been craving good quality India for a while, and this restaurant did not disappoint me. Great fresh quality food. With remarkably well-priced wines that suit the food. I would come back to this restaurant in a heartbeat.

L'Attimo Coffee - Three Visits A lovely Italian cafe. It has become our regular go-to place for a quick bite, breakfast, lunch or takeaway coffee.

Kleinod - Two Visits A cosy cocktail bar that opens at 3 pm, yes, please. This cocktail bar serves a wide selection of high-quality cocktails crafted by experienced mixologists. This cocktail bar is a definite place to visit while in Vienna.

Belvedere Palace & Gardens The Belvedere in Vienna blends the experience of architecture and art uniquely. The park has two Baroque palaces and is a UNESCO World Heritage site. In the staterooms are more than 800 years of art ranging from the Middle Ages to the present day, while the Belvedere 21 is a showcase for contemporary art. Art Corner Restaurant - One Visit Do not let the outside fool you; this lovely Greek restaurant has excellent service and reasonably priced food and wine.

Steak Point - One Visit Their tagline is best steaks in town, and we certainly agree. We dropped in for a lazy, extended lunch, and the meat, wine and service lived up to that tagline.

Apartment in central Vienna - Two Weeks Beautiful home in Vienna; you are truly spoilt with Elena's house. As soon as you enter the home, you feel instantly relaxed and know you have chosen the perfect home to explore beautiful Vienna. She was pleasantly surprised with a welcome bottle of wine and felt like she knew The Schmidts were arriving. Six stars for cleanliness; every corner of the home is sparkling. The kitchen and bathrooms were exceptional. Seriously, the photos do not do this Airbnb justice. It is perfect for digital nomads—great location, facilities, etc. We stayed here for two weeks and found the location very central. It is an easy walk to the centre of Vienna, and there is no need for taxis as you are within walking distance of all the local spots. The sunshine beaming into the home every morning is pure joy, and the peaceful neighbourhood makes for a very uninterrupted sleep. The massive bed with high-quality linen is also a bonus. The home is spacious, and the kitchen is perfect for cooking meals at home; everything you need is already there if you need to shop. You are only 5 minute's walk from a selection of supermarkets. The kitchen layout was also the most practical kitchen, very well designed. Excellent water pressure and temperature, and plenty of towels, too. Elena is fabulous and an absolute pleasure to communicate with; she has perfect English, is full of helpful tips about Vienna, and is always there when you need her for extra tips. Thank you, Elena, for making our stay here in Vienna an absolute pleasure. Even as the city became locked down, we still thoroughly enjoyed being confined to your beautiful home daily.
