Restaurant Sveta Sofija - One visit
Our first day in Macedonia, upon arrival to Ohrid we visited a local restaurant with traditional Macedonia cuisine and of course to sample the local wines.
We always love arriving into a new country and sampling the local wines and Macedonia has not disappointed us with the quality wines they produce.
This restaurant is located in the heart of the old city, surrounded by cobblestones and on the doorstep of Saint Sophia, a beautiful orthodox church.
It was wonderful soaking up the new environment and enjoying the traditional delights to welcome us to Macedonia. The zucchini chips were a treat, and serving sizes are large, so be sure to order slowly.
The team are friendly and love to share their knowledge of Ohrid and the delicious food and wines available.
A great spot to enjoy the local vibe and perfect for a sunny afternoon sitting out on the terrace.
